For over 35 years the ILCSC has been assisting people with disabilities and seniors to gain the skills they need to reach new levels of independence in life through ILCSC services.
Each year approximately 6,000 persons with disabilities and seniors come to us needing assistance in emergency services, food,shelter, obtaining benefits, affordable, accessible living in the community, as well as the skills and ability to self-advocate for their needs.

Training House Program/Assistive Technology
Training House classes are designed to empower clients. Vocational goals are a priority, however all of our classes encourage socialization skills, proper behavior in and out of the workplace, self-advocacy, and other skills helpful in becoming more independent in every aspect of their lives.

California Community Transitions (CCT)
Assisting Medi-Cal beneficiaries, who have continuously resided in a health care facility for at least three months, to successfully transition to a community living arrangement. This is a voluntary project. The ILCSC is a Lead Organization (LO) in the CCT Project.
Job Placement/Job Coaching Services
Providing pre-employment preparation, Job Placement assistance services utilize an extensive employer network throughout the ILCSC service area. Eligibility is required through referral from the Department of Rehabilitation.

Client Assistance Program (CAP)
CAP is an ombudsman program authorized to assist persons with disabilities and seniors in understanding, procuring, and protecting their rights to benefits under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. CAP services ensure that the mandated programs funded under the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 are provided fairly and effectively and promote the rights of the person with a disability to seek and receive services.
Systems Advocacy
Efforts to affect legislation, policies and laws for changes in the system, through a partnership with the client and the community.
